Diamonds Do Good to Hold First Edition of Jewellery Awards Set Up in Partnership with JCK

Diamonds Do Good has partnered with JCK to launch the Diamonds Do Good Jewelry Awards, which will be held annually.

Diamonds Do Good, formerly known as Diamond Empowerment Fund, is the industry’s third-party advocate of the industry’s good works; it has now announced the inaugural edition of the awards which will honour  members of the jewellery industry who have “made charitable giving a successful and sustainable part of their business”, the organisation stated.

“Open to manufacturers and/or retailers of fine jewellery featuring precious metals and/or natural diamonds and gemstones, the contest underscores the fact that not only is philanthropy the right thing to do, it’s also the smart choice for business,” the organisation said in a press release.

Further, Diamonds Do Good emphasised that research shows that 75% of millennials want businesses to have a social purpose and 80% want these businesses to let them know of these programmes. Moreover, 78% of Americans would more likely buy natural diamonds if they knew the positive impacts of the industry.

The winners of the contest, as judged by the JCK editorial team, will be featured in the June issue of JCK and feted at the Diamonds Do Good event in Las Vegas on June 1 at the Palazzo Ballroom in the Venetian Hotel.
