GJEPC Hosts 2nd Phase of e-SANCHIT Training for Leading Exporters

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council conducted the second phase of its training programme on e-SANCHIT on December 19, 2019 at GJEPC Conference room, Mumbai. The aim of the session was to provide practical guidance and solutions related to the process of uploading documents on e-SANCHIT (e-Storage and Computerized Handing Indirect Tax Documents) and raising Shipping Bill and Bill of Entry which is mandatory for carrying out export-import.

In this second phase, the Council focused on EXIM Managers from the top 20 exporter companies, so that after completing the training they could also convey the importance and implementation of eSANCHIT to other members. Exim Managers from 13 Companies attended the training.

During the session, Niraj Sinha, consultant provided a live demo on how to upload documents in e-SANCHIT, demonstrating the procedure step by step. As the EXIM managers had carried their laptops and most had already created their User ID and Password, they could cash in on the opportunity and directly benefit from the training.

By arranging the training, Dr. Jitarani Udgata of GJEPC was able to build confidence among the managers and encourage member companies to develop self-sufficiency in the process. The session was one more step forward in developing professionalism and transparency, within the sector.
