Officials from The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council’s MSME Department participated in a day-long seminar for the jeweller community at Ujjain on December 22 hosted by Godrej Company in collaboration with Ujjain Sarafa Association & Chandi Sona Vyapari Association, Ujjain. A large number of jewellers were present.

The context of the meet was explained by representatives of the local bodies, following which an officer from Godrej spoke about the security related products being offered by the Company.

The GJEPC team of Mithilesh Pandey and Mrunali Elle, made a presentation covering the various schemes promoted by the Ministry of MSME such as Interest Subvention, Technology upgradation, Lean Manufacturing Competitiveness Scheme, etc., and other government supported initiatives for the setting up of Common Facility Centres (CFC), skill development, financial assistance of the government for participation in exhibitions organized in the country and abroad, through the NSIC, etc.

GJEPC welfare schemes such as Parichay Card, Swasthya Ratna and Swasthya Kosh, call center, mobile app, were also explained and the audience was informed about IIJS, with detailed information provided on visitor registration for the upcoming IIJS Signature show. A Q&A session followed and the jewellers from the district were encouraged to consider exploring export markets.
