  • RENTING, SUBLETTING & SHARING OF BOOTHS:
It has been observed that many exhibitors have been sub-letting, sharing & renting their booths, which is a gross violation of the participation rules mentioned in the Application & Contract form. Inspectors & auditors on ground will be posted to check for violation. In case, if any exhibitor is found violating this clause, disciplinary action will be taken by the Council against, both, the Exhibitor and the Exhibitor/Applicant who was part in sharing the booth including its representatives. The said disciplinary action will include immediate closure of the booth of the Exhibitor at the show and/or lose the chance to exhibit by the Exhibitor/Applicant at all future events of the Council and/or black listed/debarred from all the activities of Council.

  • MEZZANINE BOOTHS:
All existing exhibitors having Mezzanine Booths applying for retaining of the booth should refer to the attached docket (Annexure III) for construction of the Mezzanine Structure for ensuring structural stability for the safety & stability compliance of the booths. All such exhibitors are instructed to adhere to the instructions mentioned in the docket pertaining to design structure & material specifications failing which Council has right to take action which may include closure of the booth. All such exhibitors are required to submit the attached declaration on the company letterhead duly stamped & signed by the Authorized Signatory before the deadline. Exhibitors interested in applying for Mezzanine booths will need to submit the declaration at the time of allotment. All exhibitors having Mezzanine booths will have to mandatorily construct Mezzanine Structure. Any exhibitor, having Mezzanine booth & does not want to construct mezzanine structure will have to apply for Less Area. They will need to surrender their existing location & the allotment will be done based on availability

  • NON-PARTICIPATION CLAUSE:
In view of the long list of applicants for IIJS with years in waiting and other opportunities available during the same period in Mumbai, the Council intends to create opportunity to the maximum number of members by way of introducing the non-participation clause in its space application form. According to the said clause the exhibitor will not be able to directly or indirectly apply or participate or exhibit in any show or exhibition or fair which is similar to exhibitions or shows related to gem & Jewellery within Mumbai or Greater Mumbai limits or vice versa for a period of 1 week before the start of IIJS 2019 and 1 week after the completion of IIJS 2019. This will greatly increase the options of all applicants to participate either in IIJS or other similar shows or exhibitions or fairs during the same period. Further, in case any exhibitor is found violating this clause, then disciplinary action will be initiated against such exhibitor, which will include immediate closure of the booth of the exhibitor at IIJS 2019 and/or the said exhibitor will lose the chance to exhibit or participate at all future events of the Council and/or black listed/debarred from all the activities of Council.

NEW FEATURES OF IIJS 2019:

  1. Hall 7: This year at IIJS 2019, we have added a new Hall (Hall 7 which is next to Hall 7A, earlier known as the Registration Area) thus increasing the overall size of the show. The exhibitors of Hall 2 at IIJS 2018 in the Allied, Laboratory & Education section will be allotted booth in Hall No 7 along with the International Jewellery Exhibitors (Refer Annexure I) as Hall No 2 will be used for Registration of Visitors.

  2. Hall 7A: There will be minor changes in the floor plan wherein the aisle space between the booths at the first row of entry of hall 7A would be reduced by around 0.5 meters to create more space at the entrance of Hall 7A. All the measures will be undertaken to ensure free movement of visitors in the aisles. It has also been ensured that no booth has been dislocated. All exhibitors are requested to take note of the aisle space whilst designing of their booths.

  3. New Booth Design for Shell Scheme Exhibitors: Council has introduced new design of shell scheme booth, a prototype of which was displayed at IIJS Signature 2019. All applicants are requested to go through the images of the New Booth Design (Refer Annexure II) before applying for shell scheme booths. The new booth option will be given with basic furniture. Customization of the booths can be done by ordering additional furniture & its placement to be mentioned in the exhibitor manual before the deadline. No changes in the overall structure of the booth pertaining to branding, fascia, colour will not be permitted.

  4. Preview Day : Based on the result of a survey done amongst exhibitors and Based on the positive feedback received for the “Preview Day” which was introduced at IIJS 2018, Council will once again have a preview day at IIJS 2019. First day of the show (8th August) will be Preview Day, exclusively meant for the select buyers/visitors only. Rest of the show days (from 9th – 12th August) will be regular show days.
