Sub: Activation of Payment Gateway through KP Portal for payment of 0.02% Advalorem.

Dear Members, 

This is in-continuation to our circular dated 26th December 2020 on the above subject.

Council has developed option of payment gateway for Members through KP Portal https://www.gjepc.org/kp/login.php.  Members can use their existing membership username and password to access the portal.  Member can also do the import / export applications for KP directly from their office through the above link and use the Payment Gateway option to do the payment. User manual for payment gateway enclosed as an annexure for ready reference.

Members are requested to note the above and start using the above facility to reduce the processing time and immediate query resolution. 

Member may also note the correction in the paragraph with regard to Customs Exchange rate applied for conversion of USD to INR instead of RBI Exchange rate as mentioned in earlier circular dated 26th December 2020. 

  • The amount of USD mentioned on the KPC / import Invoice is converted in INR on the basis of periodical exchange rate notified by Customs. The 0.02% of amount is calculated on the converted INR which is inclusive of applicable taxes. 
  • The exchange rate of US$ to INR is updated in the system as soon as the same is changed by Customs on portal https://www.cbic.gov.in/Exchange-Rate-Notifications.  
  • The applied Exchange Rate is also printed on the second page of the Advalorem invoice with US$ value for ready reference of members.

Council is pleased to express its gratitude to 400+ Indian Diamantaires who have actively supported this campaign through a contribution of 0.02% ad valorem on import of Rough Diamonds across last 3 years of the campaign. We wish to thank the members who have contributed by paying Advalorem regularly for generic promotion of diamonds. 

Members’ support by way of contribution is enabling GJEPC to contribute to the Natural Diamond Council for promotion of diamonds in the world which in turn help the industry to get better price for natural polished diamonds in the market. We would also request the members to clear their past Advalorem outstanding, if any, at the earliest.
