Nearly 6,000 Trade Visitors Expected at IGJME, Surat

The second edition of the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME), which opens on November 28 at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana in Surat, is expected to attract nearly 6,000 trade visitors from across the country. The B2B show is organised by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and the Surat Diamond Association (SDA).

This year IGJMEwill be inaugurated by NanubhaiVanani, Minister for Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities, Water Resources, Education, Government of Gujarat.

There has been a greater response to the show this year following the success of the first edition. With 85 exhibitors from India and abroad spread across 135 stalls, the show has grown in size. IGJME was promoted in 50-60 towns across the country and the attendees will include jewellery manufacturers from key centres such as Surat, Rajkot, Mumbai, Jaipur, Coimbatore, Cochin, Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi, and senior business heads as well as key production and technical members of the industry besides large retailers.

IGJME provides a comprehensive overview of the latest technologies and related developments in the gem and jewellery sector and is an ideal platform for senior industry personnel to interact with the suppliers. Besides machinery, tools, components and other equipment used in the manufacturing of jewellery/diamonds/gemstones, there are also exhibitors from allied sectors (packaging & display/IT & software/ education), etc.

During the three-day show there will be five seminars covering key developments and opportunities in the industry with topics ranging from government policies for the sector, to different aspects of lab-grown diamonds as well as marketing and merchandising in the digital and internet age.
