Richemont’s Q1 Jewellery Revenues Grow 20% To €3.01 Billion

Swiss luxury group, Richemont said its jewellery brands comprising Buccellati, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels delivered 20% sales growth to €3.01 billion for the Q1 ended 30th June 2022 despite the Covid-related disruption experienced in China. Sales progressed in all regions and channels, excluding Asia Pacific and wholesale.

Online retail sales increased by 5%, reflecting muted sales progression at the group’s Online Distributors and strong growth of jewellery and watch sales, the company said.

Total Richemont sales across all business areas climbed 20% to €5.26 billion with strong performance driven by higher sales in Europe, Americas, Japan and the Middle East and Africa more than offsetting lower sales in Asia Pacific. The US, Richemont’s largest single market for the quarter, comprised 22% of group sales.
