Botswana And De Beers Extend Sales Agreement By A Year

The Botswana Government and De Beers have agreed to extend their existing contract for the sale of Debswana’s rough diamond production until the end of 2021, due to the logistical challenges presented by the pandemic.

The agreement was originally due to expire at the end of 2020. The extension, which will extend the terms of the existing agreement, will provide further time for discussions regarding the contract renewal.
