Tanishq’s ‘Ekatvam’ Festive Collection Celebrates Spirit of ‘Oneness’

Tanishq, India’s leading jewellery brand owned by the house of Tata, has unveiled an exclusive collection for the festive season called ‘Ekatvam’, which is inspired by the theme of ‘oneness’ and driving collective happiness. The virtual press conference for the unveiling of Ekatvam on 5th October was addressed by Ajoy Chawla, CEO, Jewellery Division, Tanishq; Revathi Kant, Chief Design Officer, Titan Co., and Arun Narayan, Vice President, Category, Marketing & Retail, Tanishq, Titan Co.

The company noted that Ekatvam is an ode to the rich artistry of India epitomised in 22-karat gold by around 1,000 master karigars. The collection features as many as 15 different art forms in a single jewellery piece, including techniques like Nakkashi, Rawa work, Kit-Kita work and Chandak layering. “The collection truly stands for the oneness of India through the fusion of techniques. Each piece is truly a masterpiece and has a story to tell,” said Kant.

Kant revealed that the two key trending jewellery categories this year were high-neck chokers and earrings. “This was mainly due to the focus on above-the-keyboard dressing, as people continue to work from home,” she said. The dressing style was likely to shift from a more minimalistic approach during the year towards elaborate, voluminous jewellery albeit with lesser grammage as the festive season draws near.

Kant added, “We wanted to unite our customers, karigars, and our jewellery in a way that is symbiotic of humanity’s confluence at this time. The whole challenge was to be true to the design philosophy of oneness while also staying true to the philosophy of beauty. In the jewellery world, we have forever knitted these art forms beautifully and with Ekatvam we bring alive the confluence of India’s finest art forms, intricately knitted into one magnificent collection that brings alive the beauty of oneness. We sincerely hope our festive Collection will add a bit of sparkle to our customer’s festivities.”

Arun Narayan said, “The past six months have made us realise a few things through the selfless acts of our people across the country and our own experiences dealing with many challenges of these times. This collection we believe will help strongly rebuild the livelihoods of our jewellery karigars across India and illuminate their homes this Diwali.”
