The Italian jewellery brand unveiled gem encrusted treasures at Couture 2021<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Founded by Giuseppe Picchiotti, Italian jewellery brand Picchiotti is renowned for its jewellery set with gorgeous coloured gemstones and rings and bangles realised using a patented Xpandable mechanism. They unveiled a good number of gem encrusted pieces at the recent Couture show in Las Vegas. The new designs included the Glee collection; special cocktail rings with rare and beautiful coloured gemstones; statement cuffs and the Princess Band, among others. Picchiotti\u2019s Princess Band is an eternity band in their highly successful Xpandable\u2122 line and can expand up to two ring sizes \u2013 the sparkly band features 13 one-carat princess-cut diamonds in a rich round diamond setting in 18-karat white gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the Couture show wrapped up, we caught up with Giuseppe\u2019s daughter, Maria Carola Picchiotti to learn more about their latest drops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria Carola, Communications Director at Picchiotti, tells us more:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which distinctive pieces and collections did you bring to Couture?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We introduced new designs from our signature Xpandable\u2122 Collection, many of them with a geometric inspiration as they feature complex combinations of emerald-cut diamonds and octagonal coloured gemstones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New in Xpandable for this year are cocktail rings, the Glee assortment that features hard stones like lapis, coral, ceramic alternating with diamond pav\u00e9 motif for a more casual wear, and finally the X2 collection \u2013 the next generation of Xpandable bracelets and rings that expand with a different and new technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also presented pieces from the Picchiotti Classics, featuring superlative gemstones, set with the flawless workmanship that our brand is noted for. And, as we like to play with colour, we also had some new pieces from the Essentially Color Collection, unusual pieces awash in vibrant, top-quality gemstones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you fare at this year\u2019s Couture? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Couture 2021 was the best ever! We had a huge number of clients visiting our booth and opened many new accounts. The mood was very positive and, after so many bleak months, we felt people were inspired by an optimistic feeling towards the future. The sensation was great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which pieces turned out to be a hit with buyers? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hits of the show for Picchiotti were two cuff bracelets \u2013 one of them in black ceramic with a bloom of naturally coloured sapphires, clearly inspired by the beautiful colours found in nature, and the other one was an intricate baguette diamond framework enhanced by a baguette ruby motif in the centre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are the positive takeaways from Couture?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I mentioned, we opened many new accounts and many more buyers stopped by the booth for information. We will surely be following up with them. The actual sales were great and after many difficult months, we are very grateful for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, it was very important to connect with people in person again. It gives our business a human dimension that we have been missing during the long lockdown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
