Prices of Fancy Color Diamonds continued 2021\u2019s positive trend and rose by 1.0% across the board. The general increase was led by Pinks at 1.3%, with Yellows following at 0.7% and Blues showing nearly no change.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <em>Fancy<\/em> category and <em>Fancy Intense <\/em>in all colors,showed an increase of 1.3% and 1.2% respectively, outperforming the<em> Fancy Vivid<\/em> segment at an increase of 0.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/01PIC-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15259 lazyload\" width=\"467\" height=\"273\" data-sizes=\"auto\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/01PIC-1.jpg 496w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/01PIC-1-300x175.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/01PIC-1-450x263.jpg 450w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/01PIC-1-340x200.jpg 340w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/01PIC-1-225x132.jpg 225w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/01PIC-1-20x11.jpg 20w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/01PIC-1-164x96.jpg 164w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pink<\/strong>: Pink diamonds&#8217; general price increase of 1.3% was mainly driven by the <em>Fancy<\/em> category, which increased by 1.7% in the 1 and 2 ct. weight categories, with 2 ct. <em>Fancy Intense<\/em> rising 3.5%, 2 ct. <em>Fancy Vivid <\/em>increasing 3.2% and 1 ct. <em>Fancy Intense <\/em>climbing 2.9%. Larger weight categories also exhibited significant price increases, with <em>Fancy Vivid<\/em> 10 carat and<em> Fancy Intense<\/em> 3 carat leading this color category, both rising 2.2%.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only two pink categories whose prices decreased this quarter were the <em>Fancy Vivid <\/em>3 carat and the<em> Fancy<\/em> 8 carat, each with a 0.3% decrease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC.jpg\" rel=\"mfp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" data-src=\"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15260 lazyload\" width=\"439\" height=\"257\" data-sizes=\"auto\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC.jpg 502w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC-450x264.jpg 450w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC-340x200.jpg 340w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC-225x132.jpg 225w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC-20x11.jpg 20w, https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/02PIC-164x96.jpg 164w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 439px) 100vw, 439px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Blue: <\/strong><em>Fancy<\/em> Blues showed overall stability in Q1 (rising 0.1%) in all weight categories. <em>Fancy Intense<\/em> diamonds rose 0.5%, outperforming <em>Fancy Vivid<\/em> and <em>Fancy<\/em> grade saturations. Across the board, diamonds above 5 carats rose more than diamonds below this weight (1%+ compared to less than 1%, respectively).<em> Fancy Intense<\/em> 8 carat stood out with an increase of 2.5%. Since this boycott, the supply of yellow diamonds has dropped dramatically. The price increases also took place while China has been under a harsh lockdown.
