The American Gem Trade Association\u2019s (AGTA\u2019s) board of directors named John W. Ford, Sr. as its new Chief Executive Officer. Ford will transition from his current role as an AGTA Board Member and Treasurer to his new position effective immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ford has been in the jewellery industry for over 38 years, is an American Gem Society member, Lightning Ridge Mining Association member, long-time member of AGTA and a multiple-award recipient of AGTA\u2019s prestigious AGTA Spectrum Awards. John Ford, who owns The Lightning Ridge Collection, will move on from that business to fully concentrate on the board\u2019s vision for AGTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AGTA President, Kimberly Collins, said, \u201cJohn\u2019s knowledge of AGTA\u2019s operations along with his corporate governance experience made him the clear choice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
