G\u00fcbelin’s Sea-inspired Jewels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paraiba tourmalines come in a range of aquatic colours and are as unique as any fingerprint. The inner world of a Paraiba tourmaline inspired G\u00fcbelin Jewellery to create the Grace of the Sea Anemone collection. Within the sinuous, organic shapes designers envisioned an elegant sea anemone, its delicate tentacles gently undulating in the currents. The collection spiced up with Paraiba tourmalines, brilliant-cut diamonds, amethysts, tsavorites, yellow beryls, orange garnets, and green and pink tourmalines is reminiscent of the aquatic shades of lakes and seas, turquoise pools and colourful fruit cocktails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The curved, organic bangle created from white gold is centred on a cushion-shaped Paraiba tourmaline from Mozambique (3.52 carats, 83.4 G\u00fcbelin Points), Diads, accompanied by violet, pink and blue sapphires, contribute additional glittering highlights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as every piece from G\u00fcbelin Jewellery, the bangle is also set with the iconic ruby placed prominently next to the paraiba tourmaline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the chandelier earrings, the rubies grace the removable elements which allow the pieces to be worn as elegant ear studs or more festively as chandelier earrings. For the cocktail ring, the designers chose the artistically decorated setting that secures the cabochon-cut Paraiba tourmaline. The ruby serves as a glittering final flourish to the bracelet. Here, designers opted to use the clasp, a subtle and refined way to highlight the element that opens the bracelet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renowned brand Assael recently introduced a multitude of collections where the obvious hero of the piece is the pearl. Among the most striking lines is the Modernist, which focuses on the asymmetrical play of pearls and gemstones in linear earrings. The unfussy but dramatic earrings are patterned with South Sea cultured pearls and Tahitian natural colour cultured pearls in 18-karat yellow gold, while other earrings are set with turquoise and Golden South Sea cultured pearls and lapis lazuli and ethically sourced Sardinian coral beads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, fishing for these corals follows very strict regulations from the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean of FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), with restrictions for species protection. The harvesting of this coral below 50 meters is limited to minimum trunk sizes and only to very experienced divers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
