In November 2022, the <strong>gem &amp; jewellery exports<\/strong> grew <strong>11.83%<\/strong> to <strong>\u20b919855.17 crores<\/strong> (<strong>2.05% in dollar terms to $ <\/strong><strong>2429.86 <\/strong><strong>million) <\/strong>as compared to \u20b917755.28 crores(<strong>US$ <\/strong>2380.97 <strong>million<\/strong>) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the cumulative fiscal year-to-date period of <strong>April \u2013 November 2022, <\/strong>the <strong>overall gross exports of gems &amp; jewellery<\/strong> witnessed a growth of <strong>8.26%<\/strong> to <strong>\u20b9208039.06<\/strong> <strong>crores (1.29% in dollar terms to US$ 26243.85<\/strong> <strong>million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b9192161.85 crores (US$ 25910.10 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC <\/strong>said,\u201cNovember is usually marked with resumption of manufacturing post the Diwali break that resulted in rise in gem &amp; jewellery exports by 12%. The USA and Hong Kong remained the two biggest pillars of India&#8217;s overall gem &amp; jewellery export growth for the period of April to November 2022, accounting for USD 9211.39 million and USD 5781.90 million, respectively. The continuing positive streak of post-CEPA export growth to the UAE was maintained with a rise of 6.86% in April &#8211; November. With easing of Covid restrictions in China and the upcoming Chinese New Year, there may be hope on the horizon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In <strong>November 2022,<\/strong> the overall gross export of <strong>Cut &amp; Polished diamonds<\/strong> grew 4.97% to <strong>\u20b9<\/strong><strong>10202.54<\/strong> <strong>crores<\/strong> (<strong>declined 4.17% in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>1248.41<\/strong> <strong>million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b99719.72 crores (US$ 1302.78 million) in November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the period of <strong>April \u2013 November 2022, <\/strong>the overall gross exports of <strong>Cut &amp; Polished diamonds<\/strong> grew<strong> 1.00% to \u20b9<\/strong><strong>121602.56<\/strong> <strong>crores <\/strong>(<strong>fell 5.43% in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>15355.09<\/strong> <strong>million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b9120395.56 crores (US$ 16236.19 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>November 2022<\/strong>, the total gross export of <strong>Gold Jewellery (Plain &amp; Studded)<\/strong> grew <strong>15.93% to \u20b9<\/strong><strong>6097.64<\/strong><strong> crores (5.69% in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>746.03<\/strong> <strong>million)<\/strong> as compared to \u20b95259.91 crores (US$ 705.83 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the period of <strong>April to November 2022<\/strong>, the provisional gross export of <strong>total<\/strong> <strong>Gold Jewellery (plain &amp; studded)<\/strong> increased <strong>16.84% to \u20b9<\/strong><strong>52288.04<\/strong> <strong>crores (9.18% in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>6585.35<\/strong> <strong>million)<\/strong> as compared to \u20b944752.23 crores (US$ 6031.62 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>November 2022<\/strong>, the total gross export of <strong>Plain Gold Jewellery<\/strong> grew <strong>32.11%<\/strong> <strong>to \u20b9<\/strong><strong>2581.48<\/strong> <strong>crores<\/strong> (<strong>20.45% in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>315.85 <\/strong><strong>million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b91954.02 crores (US$&nbsp; US$ 262.23 &nbsp;million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the financial year-to-date (<strong>April to November 2022<\/strong>), provisional gross export of <strong>Plain Gold Jewellery<\/strong> grew <strong>20.84% to \u20b9<\/strong><strong>21824.96<\/strong> <strong>crores<\/strong> (<strong>12.91% in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>2748.56<\/strong> <strong>million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b918060.94 crores (US$ 2434.23 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the month of <strong>November 2022<\/strong>, the total gross export of all kinds of <strong>Studded Gold jewellery<\/strong> grew <strong>6.36% to \u20b9<\/strong><strong>3516.15<\/strong> crores(<strong>declined 3.03%<\/strong> <strong>in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>430.18<\/strong> <strong>million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b93305.89 crores (US$ 443.61 million) in November 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the period of <strong>April to November 2022<\/strong>, provisional gross exports of all kinds of <strong>Studded Gold jewellery <\/strong>surged <strong>14.13% to \u20b9 <\/strong><strong>30463.09<\/strong> &nbsp;<strong>crores<\/strong> (<strong>6.65% in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>3836.79<\/strong><strong> million<\/strong>) as compared to Rs. 26691.3 crores (US$ 3597.39 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In the<\/strong> <strong>fiscal year-to-date, <\/strong>provisional gross export of <strong>Polished Lab-Grown Diamonds<\/strong> grew <strong>60.08% to \u20b9<\/strong><strong>9743.28 crores<\/strong><strong> (49.77% in dollar terms to US$ <\/strong><strong>1227.77 <\/strong><strong>million)<\/strong> as compared to \u20b96086.59 crores (US$ 819.76 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During <strong>April 2022 to November 2022<\/strong>, provisional gross export of <strong>coloured gemstones<\/strong> jumped <strong>41.32% <\/strong>to<strong> \u20b92091.64<\/strong><strong> crores<\/strong> (<strong>32.20% in dollar terms to US$ 263.86 million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b91480.11 crores (US$ 199.59 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From <strong>April to November 2022<\/strong>, provisional gross export of <strong>Silver Jewellery<\/strong> increased <strong>37.98% to <\/strong>\u20b9<strong>17273.85 crores <\/strong>(<strong>29.05% in dollar terms to US$ 2177.62<\/strong> <strong>million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b912518.78&nbsp;crores (US$ 1687.38 million) for the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the period of <strong>April 2022 to November 2022<\/strong>, provisional gross export of <strong>Platinum Jewellery<\/strong> grew <strong>28.81% to \u20b9198.89<\/strong> <strong>crores<\/strong> (<strong>20.09% in dollar terms to US$ 25.02 million<\/strong>) as compared to \u20b9154.40 crores (US$ 20.83 million) for same period last year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the period of April to November 2022: Provisional gross export of Plain Gold Jewellery grew 20.84% to \u20b921824.96 crores Provisional gross exports of all kinds of Studded Gold jewellery surged 14.13% to \u20b9 30463.09 crores Provisional gross export of Silver Jewellery increased 37.98% to \u20b917273.85 crores The rise in gem &amp;
