The Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation (GJNRF), a trust established by the industry in 1999 that has been regularly helping victims of natural calamities, has inaugurated a super care centre at St. George Hospital run by the Government of Maharashtra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
GJNRF undertook the project of converting five rooms into a super care facility equipped with oxygen supply, ventilators and other modern facilities for the treatment of government officials and VIPs, at a total cost of approximately \u20b970 lakh.The hospital project was supervised and monitored by the charity organisation Shrimad Rajchandra Mission (SRM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the Covid-19 pandemic, GJNRF has distributed ration kits, provided food to migrants and needy people, donated masks, goggles, gloves, PPE kits, diapers, sanitizers and PCR kits to various hospitals and police stations, and donated medical equipment to hospitals run by the Government \/ BMC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newly created wing was inaugurated on 30th August, 2020, by Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, IAS, Secretary, Govt. of Maharashtra; Mrs. Vinita Singal, IAS, Secretary, Govt. of Maharashtra; in the presence of GJNRF Trustees, Mr. Praveen Shankar Pandya and Mr. Ashok Gajera and SRM Trustee Mr. Bijal Mehta, and eminent doctors of JJ Group of Hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
