(ECGC) organised its inaugural outreach program in Kashmir on 29<sup>th<\/sup> August, 2024, in Srinagar, aiming to boost the region&#8217;s jewellery export industry. The event was attended by over 62 merchants and exporters from the jewellery and handicrafts sector.<\/p>\n<p>The program featured a keynote address by Mr. Vikramjit Singh, IPS, Commissioner\/Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Mr. Singh highlighted the region&#8217;s untapped potential in the gem and jewellery industry and pledged government support to local associations and artisans.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Ashok Seth, Regional Chairman North, GJEPC, emphasised the importance of membership for exporters and the abundant skilled artisans in Kashmir.
