The magnificent Tanzanian Sunrise haute joaillerie necklace designed by the House of G\u00fcbelin takes inspiration from the fascinating inner world of a red spinel from Tanzania weighing 22.08 carats.<\/p>\n

On closer microscopic view of the spectacular stone, the G\u00fcbelin design team discovered spectacular structures reminding them of a dragonfly whose wings sparkle in the radiant colours of the rising sun. They created a sculptural necklace with gemstone-set wings spreading from its central stone in the most enchanting colours of the dawn.<\/p>\n

The cushion-shaped spinel is the showstopper of the haute joaillerie creation, accompanied by 50 carats of marquise-shaped rose spinels, pink sapphires and rubies that are arranged in a stunning colour gradient.<\/p>\n

The necklace combines organically curved elements in red gold, reminiscent of wings glistening in the sun. They are set with orange and pink spinels in various shades of colour in a free pav\u00e9 thread. Specially cut diamond baguettes whose radiance is underscored by a platinum setting add play of light. The creation is the outcome of over 700 hours of the finest artisanship at the House of G\u00fcbelin\u2019s own jewellery atelier in Lucerne.<\/p>\n

Raphael G\u00fcbelin, President of the House of G\u00fcbelin, explains, \u201cTanzanian Sunrise is a brilliant example of the interplay between our fields of expertise. Inspired by the inner world of this rare and treasured spinel, the artists in our company\u2019s own atelier created this unique piece of haute joaillerie.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ruby has a special significance to the House of G\u00fcbelin, symbolising the company\u2019s deeply inspired philosophy. So, each piece contains a ruby, embodying the G\u00fcbelin family\u2019s passion for coloured gemstones.<\/p>\n
