Rio Tinto said its diamond operation at the Diavik mine in Canada faced challenges in 2024. The company maintained its commitment to responsible sourcing and operational efficiency despite market headwinds.<\/p>\n

For the year ended 31st<\/sup> December 2024, the diamond segment generated revenue of $279 million, down 37% year on year, and reported a loss of $127 million compared to underlying earnings of $26 million in the previous year.<\/p>\n
