The U.S. administration recently announced a temporary suspension of the 26% reciprocal tariff on Indian gem and jewellery exports to the United States. The implementation of the 26% tariff, initially set for 9th<\/sup> April, 2025, has been pushed back to 9th<\/sup> July, 2025. This decision follows an executive order by the United States Trade Representative (USTR) dated 10th<\/sup> April, 2025.<\/p>\n

Until 9th<\/sup> July, a modified tariff structure will be in effect. This includes the Most Favored Nation (MFN) duty rate along with an additional 10% ad valorem duty on all gem and jewellery products imported into the U.S. from India.<\/p>\n
