Bonhams Hong Kong Jewels & Jadeite sale on 22 May 2025 featured a curated selection of exquisite designs and achieved strong results.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The top lot was an important fancy vivid pink diamond and diamond ring. The exceptional diamond, weighing 1.08 carats, of straight vivid pink colour without any secondary hue, rare of its type with internally flawless clarity, set in a contemporary design, sold for HK$4,449,000 (US$ 567,763).\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 132-lot sale included fancy-coloured diamonds and gemstones, an important fancy vivid pink diamond, rubies, sapphires and emeralds from notable maisons.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stewart Young, Bonhams Director of Jewellery and Head of Jewellery Asia, commented:<\/span> \u201cWe are delighted with the sale results, which reflect the quality of the pieces offered and the continued strong demand for rare, coloured diamonds and exceptional gemstones, notably bigger stones. Particularly noteworthy is the strong result achieved for the important fancy vivid pink diamond and diamond ring, a true rarity along with the Kat Florence Lumina, an unmounted 181.61-carat Paraiba-type tourmaline with its exceptional clarity and carat weight. The sale also demonstrated the enduring appeal for jewels from notable maisons. We saw 100% success rate for all Cartier jewels presented in the sale, led by the rare Cartier diamond and sapphire \u201cPanth\u00e8re\u201d bracelet. It was an honour to be entrusted with the sale of these remarkable jewels.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another sale highlight was the \u2018Kat Florence Lumina\u2019, an impressive, unmounted Paraiba-type tourmaline, weighing 181.61 carats. The unheated and untreated gemstone of Mozambique origin is of high clarity and fine cut, internally flawless, exhibiting a natural, greenish blue hue. The rare gemstone sold for HK$3,814,000 (US$ 486,736).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
