The Natural Diamond Council hosted an elegant evening spotlighting Botswana\u2019s remarkable diamond journey with a special \u201cHouse of Botswana\u201d event at the Natural Diamond Club, held at Yardbird Table & Bar at the Venetian during the JCK Las Vegas show.<\/p>\n
The highlight of the evening was a keynote address by His Excellency President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, who reflected on Botswana\u2019s five-decade legacy of natural diamonds. \u201cBotswana diamonds have funded schools, infrastructure, and opportunity for generations of Batswana,\u201d he stated. \u201cWe want the world to see our diamonds and think: \u2018This is a natural diamond. This is a Botswana diamond. This is a diamond with purpose.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Following the keynote, a fireside chat moderated by Paige Reddinger, Watch and Jewellery Editor at Robb Report<\/em>, offered deeper insights into Botswana\u2019s role in the global luxury landscape.<\/p>\n A lively panel discussion followed, led by Botswana\u2019s Minister of Minerals & Energy, Bogolo Joy Kenewendo. Emphasising the unique position of natural diamonds, she noted, \u201cWe are pedestaling natural diamonds. There is no competition with synthetics.
