It\u2019s believed that the highest form of donation is giving life itself. Blood donation is one such gift \u2014each drop you give has the power to save a life, bring hope to a family, and offer someone a second chance.<\/p>\n

With this noble intention, GJEPC humbly reaches out to seek support for a Nationwide Blood Donation Pledge on 17th September 2025, uniting the gem and jewellery fraternity in a remarkable demonstration of social commitment.<\/p>\n

The chosen date holds exceptional significance on several counts:<\/p>\n

Vishwakarma Jayanti:<\/b> a celebration of the divine architect, paying homage to artisans, engineers, and skilled workers whose craftsmanship shapes the nation\u2019s growth. The spirit of Vishwakarma is deeply interwoven with the soul of the gem and jewellery industry.<\/p>\n

Artisan\u2019s Day:<\/b> dedicated to honouring the creative genius and dedication of millions who uphold and advance India\u2019s illustrious jewellery heritage.<\/p>\n

The Birthday of Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi<\/b> \u2013 whose visionary leadership continues to elevate India\u2019s stature on the global stage.<\/p>\n

To commemorate this confluence of tradition, craftsmanship, and visionary leadership, GJEPC will organise a Nationwide Blood Donation Pledge, aimed at bringing the jewellery community and the nation together for a life-saving cause.<\/p>\n

Once the pledge is taken on 17th September, a nationwide blood donation drive will be organised across key hubs such as Mumbai, Surat, Jaipur, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, and more, in collaboration with leading hospitals and blood banks. Through this effort, GJEPC aims to mobilise thousands of donors from the trade and the public, making it one of the most impactful initiatives in the industry\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

A Tribute Beyond Measure<\/b><\/p>\n

This extraordinary initiative is not only about generating life-saving blood donations, but also about raising awareness of this noble act, which has the power to save countless lives.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a collective tribute to our dedicated artisans and esteemed national leadership, while underscoring the gem and jewellery industry\u2019s steadfast commitment to humanitarian service, social responsibility and nation-building. This program aligns perfectly with GJEPC\u2019s mission: \u201cTo enable every individual associated with the Indian gems and jewellery industry to achieve their full potential.\u201d\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

A Call for Collective Participation<\/b><\/p>\n

Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC, stated that \u201c17th September also marks the Vishwakarma Jayanti, and commemorates the 75th birthday of our Hon\u2019ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. On this significant day, I appeal to all the citizens and jewellery community across the country to come forward, take the pledge, and donate blood for this noble cause. Together, let us honour our tradition of craftsmanship with an act of compassion that has the power to save countless lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

To participate, individuals must first register by clicking on the pledge link<\/strong>. Once registered, they can formally take the pledge anytime between 7:00 AM on 17th September and 7:00 AM on 18th September 2025<\/strong> by entering their mobile number on the same link. This ensures every participant\u2019s commitment is recorded and counted towards the nationwide movement. Strengthening Industry, Strengthening Nation<\/b><\/p>\n

GJEPC has been at the forefront of propelling India\u2019s export-led growth. With over 10,700 members across the country, the sector contributes nearly 6% to India\u2019s merchandise exports, while generating livelihoods for nearly 5 million individuals. Beyond economic progress, the Council continues to lead initiatives that support social impact and nation-building.<\/p>\n

The Council’s philanthropic initiative, Jewellers For Hope, supports charities dedicated to spreading education and uplifting communities at the margins of society.<\/p>\n

Its health-focused programmes \u2014 Swasthya Ratna and Swasthya Kosh \u2014 ensure access to quality healthcare of choice for all gem and jewellery workers. The Parichay Card, besides granting every unattached worker a formal identity, is envisioned to extend social security benefits in the near future.<\/p>\n

The Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation (GJNRF) serves as the charitable arm of GJEPC, delivering social intervention and relief to those affected by natural disasters, wars, and terrorist attacks, while also extending support to artisans and other welfare causes.<\/p>\n
