{"id":33271,"date":"2025-09-22T16:12:26","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T10:42:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/?p=33271"},"modified":"2025-09-22T16:14:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T10:44:10","slug":"bdb-symposium-highlights-future-of-diamond-research-and-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/bdb-symposium-highlights-future-of-diamond-research-and-education\/","title":{"rendered":"BDB Symposium Highlights Future of Diamond Research and Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The second edition of the Advances in Gem and Diamond Research and Technology (AGDRT) Symposium opened on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> September at the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB), bringing together leading global researchers, scientists, and gemmologists.<\/p>\n<p>Organised by the Gemmological Institute of India (GII) with support from BDB, GIA, and IGI, the symposium serves as a platform for presenting cutting-edge research in gem and diamond science.<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming delegates, GII Chairman Mehul Shah highlighted GII\u2019s new academic collaboration with Sigma University, which will introduce a three-year degree course in diamonds and jewellery\u2014aimed at elevating artisans to graduate status.
