GJEPC met Mr. Saket Kumar, the newly appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, in New Delhi on 17th<\/sup> December to brief him on the Indian gems and jewellery sector and the Council\u2019s activities. The delegation comprised Mr. Mital Doshi, Convener \u2013 Banking, Insurance and Taxation Sub-Committee, GJEPC; Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC; and Mr. Kewal Duggal, Director \u2013 Policy, GJEPC.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, GJEPC provided an overview of the sector\u2019s size, export landscape and key policy-related issues.
