The programme focused on the Income-Tax Act, 2025 and Income Tax Rules, 2026, with emphasis on international taxation and transfer pricing.<\/p>\n<p>Smt Nirupama Kotru, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation &amp; Transfer Pricing), Western Zone, Mumbai, attended as chief guest, while Shri Mohit Jain, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai, was the guest of honour.<\/p>\n<p>Senior officials from the department included Shri Sanjay Deshmukh, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation); Shri Alok Kumar, Commissioner of Income Tax (Transfer Pricing); Smt Ramapriya Raghavan, Commissioner of Income Tax (Transfer Pricing); Shri Nischay Samaiya, CIT-OSD; and Shri Sanjeet Nair, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax.<\/p>\n<p>The dignitaries were welcomed by Shri Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Smt Khushboo Ranawat, Western Regional Chairman, GJEPC; Shri Mehul Shah, Vice President, BDB; Shri Mittal Doshi, Convenor \u2013 BITC, GJEPC; and Shri Bharat Ghori, Co-Convenor, MSME, GJEPC.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the gathering, Smt Kotru said the new Income-tax Act, 2025 introduces a simpler, more transparent, technology-driven and taxpayer-friendly framework.
