Rio de Janeiro-based designer M\u00e1rcio Granatowicz, founder of Art\u2019G, unveils a collection that pays homage to the beauteous landscape of Canada where he spent a month in May.<\/p>\n

The Canadian expedition from Toronto to Banff and Lake Louise to Montreal, Whistler, and Vancouver, captured the beauty of mountains, frozen lakes, and urban structures \u2013 all symbols of resilience and durability, which clearly are reflected in the collection\u2019s design language.<\/p>\n

The journey also became a catalyst for a broader evolution of the luxury jewellery house. Now entering a new phase under the concept \u201cContemporary Royalty: The New Era of Luxury\u201d, Art\u2019G celebrates more than four decades of artisanal craftsmanship while redefining its identity around heritage and cultural dialogue.<\/p>\n

Led by Granatowicz and commercial director Henrique Cristiano, the brand positions its creations as enduring symbols designed to transcend time.<\/p>\n

Granatowicz\u2019s work is distinctive in the way he treats \u00a0material. His signature \u201cvelvet gold\u201d technique gives 18-karat gold a soft, matte surface that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, lending volume and tactility to sculptural forms. This finish is also present in emblematic creations such as the Bouquet Ring \u2014 originally designed 25 years ago as a tribute to the designer\u2019s mother and now revisited as part of this new phase \u2014 reinforcing the brand\u2019s commitment to timeless design.<\/p>\n

The latest collection draws on Canadian iconography without literal translation. In the Maple Heritage Line, the country\u2019s most recognisable symbol is reworked into hand-sculpted gold compositions. The Cherry Blossom Line references the seasonal bloom of Vancouver and Toronto through precise, organic structures, while the Emerald Lake pieces connect the deep greens of the Canadian Rockies with Brazilian emeralds, bridging two geographies through material.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur jewellery pieces are vessels of history,\u201d says Granatowicz. \u201cThey represent a legacy of craftsmanship that resists the ephemeral nature of fashion, conceived to become family heirlooms crafted with the soul of manual work.\u201d<\/p>\n
