The segment is expected to expand 2% to 4%, reaching between \u20ac365 billion and \u20ac373 billion after declining slightly to \u20ac358 billion in 2025 from \u20ac364 billion a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Bain expects the recovery to gather momentum after a weak first quarter, noting that around 60% of luxury brands are already outperforming their comparable results from the previous year. The report suggests the industry is moving beyond a period of disruption, although growth will be driven less by price increases and more by consumer engagement and brand relevance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe luxury market is stabilizing, but this is not a return to the old rhythm, it is the emergence of a new one,\u201d said Claudia D\u2019Arpizio, Senior Partner and Global Leader of Bain &amp; Company\u2019s Fashion &amp; Luxury practice. She noted that consumers are increasingly seeking brands that provide meaning rather than products alone, making cultural relevance and emotional connection central to future growth.<\/p>\n<p>For jewellery brands, the study points to a consumer who is becoming more selective and value-conscious. Buyers increasingly expect brands to offer authenticity, craftsmanship and emotional significance alongside product quality. Relevance, rather than exclusivity alone, is emerging as a key differentiator.<\/p>\n<p>The report identifies four structural shifts reshaping the luxury landscape: a growing preference for experiences over ownership, changing regional demand patterns, evolving perceptions of luxury and the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence across the consumer journey.<\/p>\n<p>Consumer behaviour is also changing rapidly. Half of luxury shoppers now consult the second-hand market before making a new purchase, while half already use artificial intelligence during the buying process. Nearly all expect to continue using AI for future purchases, highlighting the growing importance of digital engagement for luxury brands.<\/p>\n<p>Regionally, the Americas are leading the recovery, supported by strong spending across personal luxury categories, particularly among consumers under 35.
