GJEPC continued its promotional activities in Bangladesh for IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 through a series of meetings with senior government and industry leaders, highlighting business opportunities at India\u2019s flagship B2B jewellery exhibition and encouraging greater participation from Bangladeshi buyers.<\/p>\n
Kaushik Ghosh, Regional Director \u2013 Kolkata, GJEPC, met His Excellency Shri Dinesh Trivedi, High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh, to discuss the Council\u2019s initiatives, IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026, and the growing importance of India-Bangladesh gems and jewellery trade as a driver of bilateral economic engagement. IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026 will be held in Mumbai from 5 to 10 August, across Jio World Convention Centre (5-9 August) and Bombay Exhibition Centre (6-10 August).<\/p>\n
Shri Trivedi appreciated GJEPC\u2019s consistent efforts to promote the gems and jewellery sector in Bangladesh and strengthen bilateral trade. During the meeting, it was shared that more than 70 buyers from Bangladesh are expected to visit the exhibition this year, with the continued support of the High Commission in facilitating visas.<\/p>\n
The delegation also met Enamul Haque Khan, President of the Bangladesh Jewellers\u2019 Association (BAJUS), in the presence of BAJUS Executive Committee members. An invitation was extended to BAJUS members to attend IIJS Bharat Premiere 2026, while discussions centred on expanding trade opportunities and industry collaboration between India and Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
