{"id":37380,"date":"2026-07-24T10:24:24","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T04:54:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/?p=37380"},"modified":"2026-07-25T10:24:32","modified_gmt":"2026-07-25T04:54:32","slug":"indias-cg-to-dubai-visits-gjepc-headquarters-reviews-industry-priorities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/indias-cg-to-dubai-visits-gjepc-headquarters-reviews-industry-priorities\/","title":{"rendered":"India\u2019s CG to Dubai Visits GJEPC Headquarters, Reviews Industry Priorities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Consul General of India to Dubai, visited the GJEPC headquarters in Mumbai on 24<sup>th<\/sup> July for an interaction with industry leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the sector and its engagement with the UAE.<\/p>\n<p>The UAE is India\u2019s largest trading partner in gems and jewellery, with bilateral trade reaching US$33.51 billion in FY2025-26.<\/p>\n<p>The Consul General was welcomed by Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC, along with Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman; Manish Jiwani, Convenor \u2013 MSME; Ashish Borda, Convenor \u2013 PMBD; Mital Doshi, Convenor \u2013 BITC; Bharat Ghori, Co-Convenor \u2013 MSME; and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC.<\/p>\n<p>GJEPC briefed Mr. Reddy on the Indian gem and jewellery industry\u2019s scale, global leadership in manufacturing, export outlook and the sector\u2019s roadmap for future growth. Discussions also covered GJEPC\u2019s role in trade promotion, policy advocacy, international exhibitions and infrastructure development to strengthen India\u2019s position as a global jewellery manufacturing and trading hub.<\/p>\n<p>Given Dubai\u2019s strategic importance to the industry, the meeting focused on the India-UAE gem and jewellery trade ecosystem, evolving supply chains, trade and logistics, banking and financing, and opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation.
