Ashok Seth, Co-Convener, Regional Committee \u2013 North, GJEPC, outlined the benefits of GJEPC membership and reiterated the Council\u2019s continued support for jewellers seeking to expand their export business.<\/p>\n
Deepak Sarda, Regional Head (Gujarat), Alibaba.com, presented insights into how B2B e-commerce can help jewellery businesses connect with international buyers and extend their global reach. Mehadi Hussain, Branch Manager, HRD Antwerp, highlighted the role of internationally recognised quality certification in building buyer confidence and supporting exports to the Gulf and European markets.<\/p>\n
Ashutosh Srivastava, Regional Director – North, GJEPC, briefed participants on the Council\u2019s activities and services and encouraged members to make greater use of GJEPC initiatives, including the Export Mentorship Programme (EMP) and specialised export-import training programmes aimed at strengthening members\u2019 understanding and capabilities in international trade.<\/p>\n
An interactive Q&A session followed the presentations, with participants engaging with experts from Alibaba.com and HRD Antwerp on issues related to digital commerce, certification and international market access.<\/p>\n
More than 85 jewellers and industry representatives attended the seminar, which concluded with a networking dinner.
