Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has established a dedicated Lab-Grown Diamond Vertical, as UAE trade in LGDs reached a record 76.9 million carats in 2025, up 91.5% year-on-year, with trade value rising 7.5% to USD 1.3 billion.<\/p>\n
The new vertical creates a clear separation between lab-grown and natural diamond activities at DMCC, reflecting the sector\u2019s scalable manufacturing and expanding industrial applications.<\/p>\n
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman & CEO, DMCC, said the sector\u2019s next opportunities could extend beyond jewellery into semiconductors, diamond wafers, quantum technologies, medical devices and aerospace.<\/p>\n
The organisation identified China, India and the US as key markets underpinning the global lab-grown diamond industry, while Japan, Israel and the UK are also established centres for research, industrial applications and trade.<\/p>\n
The vertical builds on DMCC\u2019s work in the sector since 2020 and will bring together producers, manufacturers, traders, investors, finance providers, technology companies and industrial users.
