India Gold Metaverse (IGM) has appointed former Diamond India Ltd CEO Nirakar Chand as Managing Director of its bullion market vertical, BullionX. The appointment comes as IGM advances its plans to build digital infrastructure for India\u2019s gold and precious metals markets.<\/p>\n
Chand brings nearly four decades of industry experience. He spent 22 years with State Bank of India, including six years in bullion and 16 years across corporate finance, investment banking and general management. He subsequently served as CEO of Diamond India Ltd. for 16 years, where he worked with a network supporting more than 1,200 small and mid-sized exporters.<\/p>\n
At BullionX, Chand will lead growth initiatives, industry engagement and nationwide market development. The platform offers real-time spot and futures pricing, one-click buying and selling, order management and market intelligence for institutional traders, bullion dealers and large jewellers.<\/p>\n
BullionX is one of four technology pillars within IGM\u2019s ecosystem, alongside Elanzia, RamMudra and GoldSense. IGM says the platform is designed around its \u201cOne Nation, One Market, One Price\u201d vision, combining blockchain, AI and financial-market technology to address fragmented pricing and limited digital adoption in the gold market.<\/p>\n
The company recently concluded an angel placement round that valued IGM at \u20b92,500 crore.<\/p>\n
