{"id":38169,"date":"2026-09-18T10:20:15","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T04:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/?p=38169"},"modified":"2026-09-21T10:20:57","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T04:50:57","slug":"fhh-and-gia-partner-to-expand-access-to-watchmaking-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gjepc.org\/solitaire\/fhh-and-gia-partner-to-expand-access-to-watchmaking-education\/","title":{"rendered":"FHH and GIA Partner to Expand Access to Watchmaking Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Fondation Haute Horlogerie (FHH) has entered into a strategic academic collaboration with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) School of Gemology and Jewelry Arts to broaden access to horological education worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Through the FHH Academy, the educational arm of the FHH, the partnership will bring watchmaking education to GIA students across its global campus network and online. The programme will begin in early 2027 with the FHH Watch Advisor, the Academy\u2019s first level of certification, alongside open sessions led by a dedicated tutor.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration combines the FHH\u2019s expertise in watchmaking with GIA\u2019s longstanding experience in gemmology and jewellery education. Since its establishment in 2014, the FHH Academy has trained more than 50,000 people and certified over 18,000 across 20 countries. Its programmes cover watchmaking fundamentals, culture and heritage, as well as advanced technical courses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEducation has always been at the heart of the mission of the FHH,\u201d said Aur\u00e9lie Streit, Vice President, FHH.
