De Beers Group has reported progress across its \u201cBuilding Forever\u201d sustainability framework, covering livelihoods, nature, climate action and diamond provenance in its 2025 Sustainability Report.<\/p>\n
The company said it reduced Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 14% since 2021, while managing 375,000 acres of land for conservation across Southern Africa. Its Okavango Eternal partnership also supported the designation of Angola\u2019s first Ramsar Wetland.<\/p>\n
On livelihoods, De Beers supported 2.6 offsite jobs for every onsite job in 2025 and trained a further 500 women through its EntreprenHER programme, taking the total to more than 3,900 since 2016. The company has also committed US$70 million to the Diamonds for Development Fund in Botswana.<\/p>\n
In provenance, its Tracr platform passed five million individually registered rough diamonds, while the company marked 20 years of its Best Practice Principles programme.<\/p>\n
De Beers said its next priorities include expanding renewable energy, reducing Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, increasing land protected for nature and extending Tracr\u2019s reach across the diamond value chain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
