Antarpal Singh Sawhney, Regional Chairman \u2013 North, GJEPC, welcomed the dignitaries and participants and highlighted the importance of risk management, secure payment mechanisms, regulatory awareness and technology in supporting export growth.<\/p>\n
Aman Preet, IRS, Addl. Director of Income Tax (I&CI)-2, Delhi, appreciated GJEPC\u2019s efforts to facilitate the jewellery trade. Officials from the Income Tax Department explained key provisions and compliance requirements under the new tax framework.<\/p>\n
Amlendu Bipul Mishra, AGM, ECGC, outlined ECGC\u2019s role and insurance policies relevant to the jewellery trade, including claim settlement and protection against export payment and commercial and political risks. Mr. R.S. Virk, Founder, Modern Business Equipments & Services Pvt. Ltd. (Spectrum), discussed the role of modern machinery and technology in improving operational efficiency and quality.<\/p>\n
Ashutosh Srivastava, Regional Director – North, GJEPC, briefed members on the Council\u2019s initiatives and encouraged participation in programmes including the upcoming Uzbekistan Show, IGJS Jaipur and specialised Export-Import Training Programmes.<\/p>\n
The seminar was attended by more than 60 participants, including representatives of the Greater Kailash Jewellers Association, Dariba Jewellers Association, Maliwara Jewellers Association, East Delhi Jewellers Association and Delhi Jewellers Association.
