THE GJEPC, through its CSR initiative, the Jewellers for Hope (JFH) charity dinner, raised `1 crore and donated the proceeds in equal parts to Indian Army Welfare, Tribal Integrated Development and Education Trust (TIDE) and Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC). The dinner was held on 8 August in Mumbai by GJEPC in association with the De Beers Group, and powered by GIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Army Welfare:<\/strong> The donation would be used to fund the project for furniture repair and the project for internal painting of Diamond AWWA Hostel (DAH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tribal Integrated Development and Education Trust (TIDE):<\/strong> TIDE, part of the Bhansali Trust, has been working for the upliftment of poor and needy tribal people. The trust is working on projects in 17 states, including one on the Musahar community in Bihar. The project under consideration for donation is their programme in Kishanganj, Bihar, which focuses on primary education, primary healthcare, hygiene, income generation through micro-credit groups of the tribal and Musahar communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC):<\/strong> SRLC is a unique ten-fold benevolent programme across fifty cities worldwide and has over 500 volunteers devoted to various causes related to mankind, animals and the environment. In an endeavour to provide affordable healthcare and maternal care services in the remotest areas of Gujarat, SRLC has established a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital in Valsad district.
