They are the only Indian company with 6000+ employees to have achieved the Responsible Jewellery Council Certification. In 1992, HK started as a small-time diamond cutting and polishing unit in Surat with a few machines and employees. It later expanded to Mumbai to meet a growing demand for raw diamonds. In 2005, HK launched its own jewellery brand \u2013 Kisna. Today, it is the largest distributed diamond jewellery brand in India. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

HK grew from strength to strength over the next decade. Kisna is a pan India brand distributed through more than 480 distributors to over 6,500 retail outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CSR Initiatives<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The company believes that commitment towards society’s welfare is an integral part of being a responsible social being; corporate or otherwise. The HK Group takes pride in being socially responsible by initiating practices, undertaking events and drafting
policies aimed at the well-being of the society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HK Group runs the Dholakia Foundation (incepted in 2011) and HK Charitable Trust (incepted in 1996).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revival of a river \u2013 Serving the people:<\/strong> Dholakia Foundation initiated the revival of a river in Dudhala village of Amreli district in Gujarat. By desilting and deepening of the Gagdiya river bed and adding a check dam, the water could be stored after rainfall. Surrounding areas of the river bank were also made green as the government gave permission for greenification. Today, thanks to the efforts of river deepening, there are four lakes that have water stored for many months \u2013 HK Sarovar, Ba ka Sarovar, Dada ka Sarovar and Dholakia Sarovar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blood donation camps:<\/strong> Apart from employeecentric incentive scheme, they organize blood donation camps every 3-4 months in their office premises and donate platelets to JJ Mahanagar Blood Bank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donating infrastructure for hospital:<\/strong> In Surat, a multi-speciality hospital has been built wherein they provided financial assistance for infrastructure. The company runs dispensaries for the needy in the rural areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plantation drive:<\/strong> Over the past 12 years, 25 lakh trees have been planted as part of the tree plantation drive in Gujarat. They ensure that their employees accept a plant as a gift and maintain its growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizing Kisna Diamond Marathon for charity:<\/strong> The company organizes Kisna Diamond Marathon. The amount generated from the event is donated for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. They have joined hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s cleanliness initiative. The company also takes the message of Yoga forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
