Exhibitors Look Forward to IGJME 2015


A delegation of high ranking political leaders at the state and central levels led by two senior ministers from the Gujarat government, Smt Vasuben Trivedi - Minister of State for Education, Women and Child Welfare (Independent Charge), Higher and Technical Education and Nanubhai Vanani, Minister for Sports, Youth & Cultural Activities, Water Resources, Education and including Surat Mayor Nirajan Jajmera, Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya State BJP head and others, visited the IGJME on Sunday morning to express the support of the Gujarat government to the various initiatives being undertaken by the gems and jewellery industry.

Day Two Ends with Traffic and Business Failing to Meet Exhibitor Expectations


The second day of IGJME ended on a stronger note than it had begun with better footfalls in the late afternoon as compared to a relatively slower morning. However, exhibitors who had expected a surge in numbers on the second day of the show, especially as it was a Saturday, were a trifle disappointed that the turnout was not as good as they had hoped for.

IGJME Show Will Boost the SME Sector: Dineshbhai Navadiya, SDA


Small and Medium sector enterprises (SMEs) will be the biggest beneficiaries of a show like the IGJME, said Dineshbhai Navadiya, President, Surat Diamond Association (SDA) which is one of the co-organisers of the show. “This year we have focused our attention on getting decision makers from this sector – either the owners or factory managers – to attend and themselves see the type of technology and machines that can be used by them,” he added.

Nearly 6,000 Trade Visitors Expected at IGJME, Surat


The second edition of the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME), which opens on November 28 at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Sarsana in Surat, is expected to attract nearly 6,000 trade visitors from across the country. The B2B show is organised by The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and the Surat Diamond Association (SDA).
