A delegation from the Afghanistan Ministry of Mines and Petroleum visited the Jaipur Regional office of GJEPC yesterday where they held wide ranging discussions with the members of the Regional Committee and the Coloured Gemstone Panel.

Among the various issues discussed was the plan to set up a Gem Bourse in Afghanistan. The Afghan delegation sought support from the Indian trade and an assurance that Indian traders and manufactureres would market the gemstones that are being mined within that country.
