ALROSA announced yesterday that Evgeny Agureev, who has been a Director of the United Selling Organization of ALROSA (USO), as well as a member of the ALROSA’s Executive Committee since 2017, has been appointed Deputy CEO of the Company. He will continue to lead the USO and oversee the sales unit, ALROSA stated.

“In his new position, Mr. Agureev will continue to develop sales, improve their efficiency and transparency, and strengthen ties with long-term clients,” ALROSA said spelling out Agureev’s special areas of responsibilities.  

Sergey Ivanov, CEO of ALROSA stated: “Given the difficult conditions in the global diamond market today, Evgeny will continue to improve the efficiency of the entire supply chain of the company and look for new approaches to stimulating rough diamond sales, as well as to increase the level of interaction with the company's customers and expand the customer base.”

Agureev came to ALROSA having gathered more than 15 years of experience in financial management in commercial banks. From 2009 to 2017, he held different positions in Sberbank – from Head of International Reporting to Vice President, Director of Finance Department. Prior to that, he worked in Russian Standard Bank, MDM Bank, Raiffeisen Bank Austria, Absolut Bank, and Renaissance Credit Bank.

Born in 1978, Agureev is a graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Economics, specialising in Accounting, Analysis and Audit. He also holds a Master’s degree in Financial Management. In 2016, he completed the Executive Development Program of the London Business School and Sberbank Corporate University.
