ALROSA has announced the appointment of Evgeny Agureev, currently Vice President of Sberbank, as the Director of the United Selling Organization of ALROSA, the Company’s sales division. This division is in charge of sorting, preliminary valuation, pre-sale preparation and sales of all the rough diamonds it produces. Agureev takes over the responsibility from ALROSA Vice President Yury Okoemov who was acting director of the USO of ALROSA.

As part of his new role, Agureev will develop rough diamonds sales, increase their efficiency and transparency and strengthen ties with long-term clients. He will be directly responsible for preparations related to the new three-year contract period from 2018-2020 that the Company will sign with some of the world’s largest rough diamond manufacturing and trading companies.

Agureev has more than 15 years of experience in financial management in commercial banks. From 2009 to 2017, he held different positions in Sberbank from Head of International Reporting to Vice President, Director of Finance Department. Prior to that, he worked in Russian Standard Bank, MDM Bank, Raiffeisen Bank Austria, Absolut Bank, and Renaissance Credit Bank.

Born in 1978, Agureev is a graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Economics, specializing in Accounting, Analysis and Audit, holder of a Master’s degree in Financial Management. In 2016, he completed the Executive Development Program of London Business School and Sberbank Corporate University.
