ALROSA said that it earned US$ 11.9 million in sales revenue at an international auction of special size rough diamonds (over 10.8 carats) held recently in Vladivostok.

The miner said it sold 123 rough diamonds with the total weight of 2,205 carats. Companies from India, Israel, UAE and Belgium participated in the auction.

“This year’s first auction at our Far Eastern trading site generated good results. The participants purchased over 70% of all the auctioned rough diamonds,” commented Evgeny Agureev, Deputy CEO of ALROSA.

In 2020, ALROSA plans two more auctions for special size rough diamonds in Vladivostok.
