ALROSA’s latest sale of large diamonds of special sizes (more than 10.8 carats) in Dubai raised a total revenue of US$ 7.6 million. The Company sold 126 gem quality diamonds with a total weight of 2,090 carats. The parcel included one “particularly large stone” weighing 63.8 carats, mined at the deposits of Almazy Anabara JSC.

More than 100 companies representing the world's largest diamond trading centers - the United Arab Emirates, India, Belgium, Russia, Israel, Hong Kong and the United States – participated in the auction.

"Our international auctions for the sale of large-sized rough diamonds always attract attention of buyers,” commented Evgeny Agureev, Member of the Executive Committee, and CEO of ESO ALROSA. “The auction session in Dubai ended with positive results - both in terms of the number of stones sold and in terms of the number of firms that participated in the event. We see that the ALROSA platform in Dubai continues to evolve and to attract more and more interest.”

The June auction is the third to be held in the UAE this year. Earlier, auctions were held in February and April.  ALROSA has plans to hold one more auction in Dubai, in autumn this year.
