ALROSA’s Israel Auction of Special Diamonds Garners US$10.2 Mn

ALROSA reported that at the international auction for special size rough diamonds (+10.8 carats), which took place in Israel recently, the Company raised a revenue of US$ 10.2 million.

The Company sold 120 stones with a total weight of 1,940 carats. This included two large diamonds weighing more than 50 carats each.

Companies from Israel, Belgium, India, the US, UAE, Russia and Hong Kong participated in the auction sale.

“Large rough diamonds are consistently popular with Israeli diamantaires,” said Evgeny Agureev, Member of the Management Board, and Director of the United Selling Organization at ALROSA. “The latest auction is the third in a row this year. This is our highest revenue in Israel since the beginning of 2019. Until the end of the year, we plan three more auctions here and look forward for a stable demand from customers.”

In 2018, ALROSA had held six auctions of special size rough diamonds in Israel.
