ALROSA Sales from Eurasian Diamond Centre, Vladivostok at US$ 5 Mn

In a trading session held from November 21 to 25, 2016, at the newly created Eurasian Diamond Centre (EDC) in Vladivostok, PJSC ALROSA sold rough diamonds worth US$ 5 million, the Company announced.

This was the second sale to take place at the EDC; and this time around the mix included industrial grade diamonds.  

The first sale of ALROSA’s rough diamonds out of EDC in Vladivostok was held on September 2 and 3, 2016, in the run-up to the Second Eastern Economic Forum; which also coincided   with the opening of the EDC which became “the hundredth resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok”.

Yury Okoemov, ALROSA Vice President commented: “In order to study potential demand, we offered average and small size rough diamonds to our clients in test mode at the last trading session. We assess the trading session results as successful.”  

From early next year, ALROSA plans to hold quarterly sales of special size rough at the EDC.
