ALROSA Sells Large Diamonds at Auction in Vladivostok for US$ 9 Million

ALROSA announced yesterday that its auction of special size rough diamonds (over 10.8 carats) held in Vladivostok fetched overall revenue of US$ 9.1 million.

The company said that 125 rough diamonds with total weight of 2,090 carats were sold. It added that the auction lots were bought by 24 firms from the largest centres of the diamond trade.

“The first auction this year in Vladivostok completed with good results. The assortment is still in demand among the market participants from the largest centers of world diamond trade. I believe that interest in Vladivostok as a promising trading platform will only grow,” Evgeny Agureev, Member of the Management Board, Director of the United Selling Organization at ALROSA, said.

This year ALROSA plans to hold four auctions of special size rough diamonds in Vladivostok in 2019. The next one will take place in April; while the other two are scheduled for July and September.
