The first rough diamond viewing session for the next year at the India Diamond Trading Centre Special Notified Zone in Mumbai will be conducted by De Beers Auction Sales, Singapore from January 2-9, 2017.

The company, which purchases, prepares and sells on a spot and forward contract basis approximately 10% by value of De Beers' rough diamond production, has conducted a number of viewing sessions at the IDTC since its launch in December 2015.

Other major mining companies have also displayed their goods at the IDTC, and the centre reports that over 50% of the 2017 viewing calendar has already been booked.
