Coloured gemstone miner Fura Gems Inc. DMCC announced that Chief Executive Officer, Dev Shetty, has decided to step down from his role to pursue other opportunities. Fura’s board of directors will assume the role of the primary decision-making body until a new CEO is announced.

Fura has designated the current senior leadership team to manage the company’s day-to-day operations in close collaboration with the board to ensure operational continuity.

Gaurav Gupta, Director, Fura Gems Board and Director of Fura’s majority shareholder, said, “The restructuring of our leadership team is a next step in driving forward our strategy, building on the progress made to create a world class business which meets the evolving demands of the gemstone market.”
