Diamcor Grosses US$ 1.9 Mn Sales Revenue for First Fiscal Quarter

Diamcor Mining Inc. announcing the final results for rough diamonds sales during its first fiscal quarter ending June 30, 2016 said that it had sold a total of 13,384.72 carats in the period, raising gross revenues amounting to US$ 1,905,978.44.

This result for the sale of rough diamonds from the Company’s Krone-Endora at Venetia project in South Africa represents an increase of around 469% when compared to the 2,856.24 carats tendered and sold in the Company’s first fiscal quarter ending June 30, 2015. Total gross revenues for the first fiscal of the current year are also about 419% higher than gross revenues reported for the same period of the previous year which stood at US$ 455,227.66.

However, the average price for first fiscal quarter ending June 30, 2015, was higher at US$ 159.38 than that for the current period under consideration which amounted to US$ 142.40 per carat.

“The price per carat realised during the tenders completed during the period were consistent with Company expectations for the goods being offered, and reflect the price weakness in certain categories of rough diamonds during the period,” the Company noted.
