The Red Carpet at the 77th Annual Golden Globe Awards held in Los Angeles on January 5 once again sparkled as celebrity stars chose to pair their couture outfits for the high profile event with a dazzling array of diamond studded and platinum jewellery creations.

The Platinum Guild International, in a statement said that “the naturally white setting (of platinum) …truly enhances the brilliance of diamonds and coloured gemstones, perfectly complement(ing) the stunning array of couture gowns”, while Forevermark said that actors Rachel Brosnahan, Awkwafina, Sienna Miller, and Idina Menzel all opted for an elegant diamond look.

According to celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger, "The most brilliant stars wore the most brilliant statement necklaces set in platinum tonight. Whether it was Jennifer Aniston's 1950's style with 2 rows of diamonds or Zoey Deutch's dramatic sapphire pendant, platinum necklaces add sparkle, glamour and timeless sophistication."

Other red carpet jewellery brands such as Cartier, Harry Winston, Tiffany & Co., and Fred Leighton, among others, also chose platinum to style A-list celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron, Zoey Deutch, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Brad Pitt, Billy Porter and many more.

Golden Globe winner Awkwafina, who won the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture award was adorned with a pair of classic diamond studs, a one-of-a-kind diamond brooch and diamond cocktail rings from Forevermark to accent her chic black and white ensemble.

Awkwafina's stylist Erica Cloud said of her diamond look, "Awkwafina's Dior Couture look has a regal feel to it, so I was looking for a beautiful diamond brooch to complete the look. Golden Globe nominee Rachel Brosnahan dazzled in striking diamond drop earrings and multiple stacked diamond rings and bangle bracelets complementing her regal purple gown.

Jill Lincoln and Jordan Johnson, Rachel's stylists, shared the inspiration behind her look, "Because of the open neckline, we wanted a dramatic and linear earring.
